I was self-taught for a long period of time from 2017-2023, with the help of YouTube! I would spend hours watching videos from my favorite YouTubers at the time, and creating looks on my friends to practice.

July of 2023 is when I started a 10-week course with one of the Bay Areas talented Makeup Artist/Educator, @makeupbyyeya! I took this risk while working a full time job, and full time college student (still am). I would commute once a week to San Jose while still juggling taking in clients on my day off. I finally graduated in Septemeber with my certificate, and I knew from there that was my “moment for life”.

April of 2024, I took Prisicilla Ono’s 3 day makeup course in Los Angeles, CA. Prisicilla is the Global MUA for Fenty Beauty and works with many of my favorite celebrities. I was hesitant at first because it was 2 months away from that time that I knew and had to save a lot financially. My amazing partner stepped in and said he would help me because he knew this would be a great invenstment for my career. I took the risk last minute, and it ended up being one of the most eye-opening education. I recieved my second certifcate, and I am class of 2024 in Ono Beauty!

Lastly, I have taken several seminars and private lessons with makeup artists that I look up to. As techniques, trends, and styles change significantly, I believe in always expanding my education with every chance I get. It’s so important to never stop investing in yourself to perfect your craft. I LOVE to be educated. One thing about me is that you will always catch me at a seminar, LOL!
